The Borgo di Ostia Antica is a small reality that you don’t expect (as told in the article “The Village of Ostia Antica: what to see” and if you haven’t read yet, click here to do it!).

The past and the present coexist, side by side but without changing the beauty of the village.

Spending a day or a weekend or a week in the Village of Ostia Antica is certainly an opportunity to get to know the hidden and magical part of Rome. Our land can truly give you many different sensations and emotions. Each season can be experienced in a unique and particular way.

The Village and the neighboring places

From Al Civico 7 you can reach the sea of ​​Ostia, the center of Rome, the Roman ruins of Ostia Antica, the best shopping centers, an excellent position to perhaps decide to visit Rome in an alternative way.  After a day of culture, entertainment, and shopping, returning to Civico 7 can be very pleasant and relaxing.

Walking through the streets of the village you will meet some local realities that I invite you to experience and get to know, they are true artisans of tasting and healthy living experience.

The Village and the restaurants

It is not only the history that characterizes the Borgo di Ostia Antica but also the people who live this small reality, people who want to make their territory known by offering the products of the Roman tradition to any traveler. A “Carbonara Pasta” (I suggest you see my article “How to cook Carbonara ?” click here) or a “Cacio e Pepe Pasta”, a fantastic “Tiramisù” are just the many delicious dishes that you can order in the restaurants of the village or just outside the walls of the Borgo. They are all great and all ready to pamper you.

Many of those who have spent time at Al Civico 7 have chosen to try “frutta e verdura”, a little shop just outside the walls, for a quick meal perhaps cooked at home by us with seasonal products.

You will not be able to give up a true “Roman” breakfast, the famous “cappuccino and cornetto” in the bars of the Borgo, or the real pizza al taglio from the oven. Let’s try the so-called white pizza (no tomato), red pizza (with tomato), a white pizza with mortadella, a real pleasure!
